With this project I wanted to experiment with a new material; cork. I chose to model a miniature chair and test some techniques I could use with the cork.
Prototyping process;

I cut the scorched corks into irregular shapes and glued them together in a shape that was close to the shape I wanted.

Next I used my dremel and some sanding paper to remove excessive pieces of corl and get the shape I wanted. There were a lot of gaps between the irregular pieces of cork, so I filled these up with hot glue.
I painted the inside red to get a nice contrast between the hard, burnt outside and the soft inside. To finish the piece off I used several coats of clear nailpolish, and sanded between these coats.
